Wrestler Goals

TJ Youth Wrestling Program
Goal Setting Expectations for Wrestlers and their Families

Wresting is a difficult sport and success is not always easy to measure.  Wrestlers should always set goals for themselves and be accountable in their pursuit of those goals.  Long term goals should be set and should challenge the wrestler to be the best they can be.  Short term goals should be chosen to set and keep the wrestler on the path they have chosen.

Below are a number of sample short term goals a wrestler may want to choose for the season.

All wrestlers are strongly encouraged to choose 3 or more goals for themselves and share those with their parents and the coaches to allow them to support the wrestler in reaching their goals.
